Choose by the application.
A practical route from enclosure requirements to a product format.
Start with the requirements
A mounting thread or outside diameter is only the starting point. A useful selection brief brings together enclosure volume, temperature cycling, exposure, allowable pressure differential and the manufacturing process.
Choose the integration format
| Venting caps | Cap formats for automotive lighting and compact enclosure interfaces. |
|---|---|
| Venting membranes | Die-cut venting and acoustic membrane formats for device integration. |
| Venting plugs | Plug formats for packaging containers and automotive systems. |
| Protective vent valves | Threaded, snap-fit and recessed formats for equipment enclosures. |
| Venting liners | Foam and foil liner formats for vented packaging closures. |
Compare like-for-like data
Flow per unit area and flow per complete part describe different quantities. Normalize area-based values only when the active area is known, and compare at the same pressure differential. Confirm materials, mounting and environmental exposure together.
Close the loop with samples
Use samples to verify fit, sealing and airflow in the intended enclosure. Document the accepted configuration and the test conditions before progressing to production.
